Once again, our great community has rallied to make youth hockey more accessible.

Sharing and hope once again inspired the second edition of the RN Hockey Classic, which took place on April 18th and 19th. Thanks to the generosity of our partners, the Indigenous Hockey Equipment Drive, numerous sponsors and the Maison de la Famille de RN, the firefighters and organizers of the RN Hockey Classic from Toronto were able to offer the community more than 40 bags of equipment valued at $35,000, with more than $8,000 raised.

Following an initiative by Nashville's Robert Ouellet (aka Bob Stetson) in August 2023 to reconnect with former players, this four-decade-old homecoming supported the community, proving that sport is also about sharing and helping each other.

RN Hockey Classic's mission is to make ice hockey accessible to all young people who need support. Through community involvement, we foster a passion for the sport and promote the building of valuable life skills. And, as we approach our centennial, we also want to celebrate the rich legacy of our builders and athletes, past and present, by sharing their achievements with our community and beyond. Finally, by acknowledging their achievements, we want to inspire our young people and offer them models of resilience, perseverance, success and community involvement that will shape their future.
