OUR HISTORY
Inspired by an initiative launched in August 2023 by Robert Ouellet to reunite former players, the RN Hockey Classic has become, over the past four decades, an unmissable event imbued with pride, tradition, and community spirit. What began as a simple reunion has evolved into a celebration of the profound meaning of hockey, bringing people together, honoring a shared history, and contributing to the community.
OUR MISSION
Dedicated to making hockey accessible to all young people who deserve to play, the RN Hockey Classic fosters a passion for the sport through active community engagement, in-kind support, and meaningful partnerships. Beyond the ice, the event helps young people develop essential skills such as teamwork, perseverance, and self-confidence.
As we celebrate our centennial, we proudly pay tribute to the builders, athletes, and volunteers, past and present, whose dedication has shaped hockey in our region. By sharing their stories of resilience and success, we want to inspire the next generation to rise to challenges, pursue their passions, and carry on this legacy.
